Trend of The Week: Zig-Zag

Once a week, I will devote my post to a "Trend of the Week". This week, we are loving Zig-Zags! This bold pattern is everywhere you turn these days. This month, the Missoni for Target collection had people falling all over themselves to get all the Zig Zag pieces they could. What was once an outdated trend from the 60's, is fast becoming one of the most popular trends of 2011. This pattern is inspiring everything from furniture, clothing, accessories, stationery and even wedding cakes. How can you not love something as fun and fabulous as Zig Zags?!

Dear Hot Summer 2011 Trend,
First you showed up as a cute little hair extension that everyone was just dying for. Then you started popping up in wedding bouquets, dresses, invitations, even centerpieces! Every time I turned around there you were. Feathers have been all the rage this summer. Now, inquiring minds want to know.... will you be sticking around for fall too??

Dear Fall, 

What is it about you that makes me so happy? Is it your cool crisp air, your yummy smells of apples and pumpkin, your new and exciting fashion trends? Maybe it's your beautiful rich color palette of golds, reds and oranges. Whatever it is, you are finally here to enjoy. Oh fall, how I have missed you!
